Climate Change to adversely impact grain production in China by 2030 (Reuters)

February 01, 2018

Reuters published an op-ed authored by Man Li on adverse impact of climate change on China’s grain production by 2030. In the article, Li argued seasonal drought could reduce yields of three major grains—rice, wheat and corn- with corn suffering the most. “Urgent steps need to be taken to upgrade China’s rural water infrastructure and promote breeding new varieties through research and agriculture extension services,” said Li.
