Strengthening international cooperation in response to food crisis, “Chinese experience” is welcome (China Development)

May 21, 2020

China Development published an article on trade restrictions and the fear of a limited food supply in China. Director General Johan Swinnen said, “Due to the impact of the epidemic, about 150 million people will fall into the world; in extreme poverty, 80 million people are in sub-Saharan Africa, and another 40 million people are in South Asia. “On the one hand, the epidemic has led to an economic crisis and the investment in food production has declined; on the other hand, the global supply of food has been caused by the interruption of the food supply chain. Ability is greatly reduced.” Republished in Easy MoneyChina Economic HeraldSohu.com (China).
