Samuel Benin

Samuel Benin is the Acting Director for Africa in the Development Strategies and Governance Unit. He conducts research on national strategies and public investment for accelerating food systems transformation in Africa and provides analytical support to the African Union’s CAADP Biennial Review.

Sunny Kim

Bio

Sunny S. Kim is a Senior Research Fellow in the Nutrition, Diets, and Health Unit. She first joined IFPRI as a Postdoctoral Fellow in 2012. Her key research areas include maternal, child, and adolescent health and nutrition; social and behavior change; and intervention coverage measurement. She has conducted impact and process evaluations and formative and implementation research using mixed methods in a wide range of countries including Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, India, Peru, and Vietnam. Prior to IFPRI, Sunny worked for eight years as a Technical Officer in the Nutrition Unit at the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO/WHO).

Sunny received her PhD in International Nutrition from Cornell University, MPH in International Health Promotion from the George Washington University, and BA in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley.
